What are the details of the Connaught Place murder case?
A 36-year-old businessman named Shivam Gupta lost his life after a brutal assault in the heart of Delhi. Shivam, a resident of Laxmi Nagar who worked in the construction business, was attacked near the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station parking area.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on January 3, 2026, when Shivam was returning from a party. An argument broke out between him and three food delivery riders over a minor issue, reportedly involving a bike handle touching or a request for water. The argument escalated, and the riders allegedly beat him with their helmets. Shivam sustained severe head injuries and passed away during treatment on January 19. Police have arrested two of the accused involved in this case.
How was the Railway employee killed in Gulabi Bagh?
In a shocking incident in North Delhi, the body of a 39-year-old railway technician, Sandeep Kumar Malviya, was found in a rented room near the Railway Colony in Sabji Mandi. The victim had been missing since January 25, and his body was recovered on February 2.
Police investigations led to the apprehension of a 17-year-old minor from Ghaziabad. During interrogation, the juvenile claimed that the victim had attempted to sexually assault him. In retaliation, the minor allegedly hit Sandeep on the head with a gas cylinder and then slit his throat. The police tracked the accused using the victim’s mobile phone and bank transactions made after the murder.
What happened in the Pandav Nagar stabbing incident?
The third case was reported from East Delhi’s Pandav Nagar on the evening of February 2, 2026. A 22-year-old man named Arun Raj, who worked as a delivery boy, was stabbed to death near Acharya Niketan.
Reports indicate that Arun was approached by three boys on a bike. Following a brief argument, they attacked him with knives, inflicting multiple wounds on his chest and neck. He was declared dead at the hospital. Police have apprehended three juveniles in connection with this attack. Initial probes suggest that an old rivalry or a recent clash was the motive behind this killing.
