The Indian Army has decided to change the names of 246 roads, buildings, and residential colonies across the country. These places previously carried names from the British colonial era. The army has replaced these with the names of Indian war heroes and gallantry award winners. This move aims to honor the sacrifices of Indian soldiers and remove colonial symbols from military stations.
