The Delhi Police has achieved a significant breakthrough with the arrest of a notorious gangster in the Shahbad Dairy area. The Outer North District police team apprehended Pankaj alias Sura alias Suar along with his associate Akash alias Akku. Both individuals have been booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). This operation was conducted on February 3, 2026, based on specific intelligence regarding the movement of the gang members.

Details of the police operation and seizures
The police acted on secret information and laid a trap to catch the accused. During the operation, officials successfully intercepted the duo. The team seized a Tata Punch car that was being used by the suspects. Apart from the vehicle, digital evidence including mobile phones and a Jio dongle were recovered from their possession. Pankaj, aged 28, is identified as the leader of this organized crime syndicate, while 24-year-old Akash worked as his active associate.
Criminal history and further investigation
Pankaj has a substantial criminal record with involvement in over 20 cases. His history includes serious charges such as attempt to murder, robbery, the Arms Act, and assault on police personnel. The MCOCA case against this gang was originally registered in 2024. A non-bailable warrant had also been issued against Pankaj by the court. Police are currently interrogating the arrested individuals to uncover more details about their network and financial links.
