What is the future plan for Delhi’s bus fleet?
The government has set a clear target to expand the electric bus network significantly. Within the next two years, the aim is to have 11,000 electric buses running on Delhi roads. This initiative focuses on reducing pollution and providing affordable transport. CM Rekha Gupta emphasized that her administration is committed to making the city healthier and better for everyone.
Are there new facilities for tourists and other areas?
There is good news for tourism as well. Electric double-decker tourist buses are likely to start operating around February 20 on a special sightseeing route. For the Matiala Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹400 crore. Additionally, private players like LeafyBus are planning to introduce electric sleeper buses for intercity travel by March.
