A shocking case of honor killing has emerged from the Mundka area of Outer Delhi where a 23-year-old youth was beaten to death. The victim, identified as Naresh, was allegedly in a relationship with a minor girl which angered her family. The Delhi Police have arrested the main accused Bijender, who is the girl’s father, along with his son and nephew for kidnapping and killing the youth on Thursday.

What led to this violent crime?
Naresh was a motor mechanic originally from Panipat, Haryana, and worked at his cousinās workshop in Tikri Kalan. He was in a relationship with the 17-year-old daughter of the accused, Bijender. About six months ago, Naresh was sent back to his hometown after the family found out, but he returned to Delhi a month ago. On Wednesday, the girl’s father learned that they met again, which triggered the plan for this crime.
How did the police respond to the incident?
The accused allegedly kidnapped Naresh from his workplace on Thursday and took him to a private location. They brutally assaulted him and reportedly rubbed red chili powder into his wounds. He was later handed over to his family in a critical state and died before reaching the hospital in Bahadurgarh. Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are conducting raids to catch other absconding relatives.
