The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation has brought great news for people planning to visit home during Holi. The government will run more than 120 subsidised AC buses to connect Bihar with Delhi, Haryana, and other states. These special buses will start operating from February 15 and will continue until March 15, helping passengers who cannot find confirmed train tickets.

Routes and Schedule for Special Buses
Officials have confirmed that 62 buses will run specifically for the Delhi route, while 40 buses will connect to Haryana. The service will also cover cities in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Buses will originate from major transport hubs like Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Purnea, and Darbhanga. This special service is designed to reduce the heavy crowd seen at railway stations during the festival.
Ticket Prices and Subsidy Details
Passengers will get major relief in ticket prices compared to private bus operators. The government is providing a subsidy of around Rs 600 to Rs 1,100 on various routes. For instance, the AC seater fare from Delhi to Patna is set at Rs 1,254, which is much cheaper than the usual rate. The booking for these buses has already started online.
