delhibreakings delhi airport family at del initiative launch details Delhi Airport Starts Special Entry and Check-in for Families, No Extra Cost for Passengers

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has introduced a new initiative called ‘Family @ Del’ to make travel easier for families. This service was launched on Thursday and is now operational across Terminals 1, 2, and 3 for domestic departures. The program focuses on helping passengers traveling with children, infants, or elderly members by reducing waiting times and providing extra assistance.

What new facilities are available for families?

Under this initiative, the airport has set up dedicated entry gates specifically for families so they can enter the terminal quickly. Once inside, passengers can use specialized family check-in counters and priority security lanes to avoid long queues. The airport is also offering complimentary baby strollers for parents to use within the terminal.

For those traveling with infants, private baby care rooms have been made available to ensure privacy and comfort. Additionally, specially trained staff members known as ‘Family Assistants’ are deployed to guide families from the departure forecourt all the way to the boarding gates. Washrooms have also been upgraded to be friendly for persons with reduced mobility.

Is there any fee or registration required?

Officials have clarified that there is no extra charge for using the ‘Family @ Del’ services. Families do not need to register in advance to access these benefits. The primary goal is to provide a stress-free experience for passengers who might find navigating the airport difficult due to children or elderly companions. Even food courts now have designated seating areas for families.
