Delhi’s weather is set to change today. The capital is expected to experience a dust storm and strong winds along with light rain on Friday, which will bring down the temperature. The Meteorological Department has also issued a ‘yellow alert’ for Friday.
Impact of Western Disturbance and Yellow Alert
According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of a Western Disturbance will be visible on Delhi’s weather. Due to this, light rain is possible in different parts of Delhi. During this period, winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. The IMD has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for Friday, warning of potential dust storms and rain.
Temperature Fluctuations and Humidity Levels
Over the past three to four days, there has been a sharp rise in Delhi’s temperatures, with people experiencing mild warmth during the daytime. On Thursday morning, light fog was observed in most parts of Delhi, which cleared up as the day progressed, making way for sunshine. Now, due to the Western Disturbance, a drop in temperature is expected. The humidity level in the air dropped from 100 percent to 49 percent, indicating a change in weather patterns.
Friday and Saturday Temperature Forecast
The maximum temperature for Friday is estimated to be 19 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature could be around 12 degrees Celsius. This forecast is significantly lower than the normal maximum temperature by 6.8 degrees Celsius and the normal minimum temperature by 1.2 degrees Celsius. From Saturday onwards, both the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to fall further by up to two degrees Celsius.
