A fire incident was reported at Pacific Mall in Jasola, Southeast Delhi on Saturday afternoon. The Delhi Fire Services received a call regarding smoke around 12:20 PM. Eight fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the location to manage the situation. The incident took place on the fourth floor of the mall premises.

What was the main cause of the fire?
According to the initial investigation, the fire started due to ongoing renovation work inside the mall. Welding work was being conducted in an empty cinema hall on the fourth floor. Sparks from the welding machine fell onto stored bundles of thermocol, which ignited the blaze. This caused heavy smoke in the area, but the fire was categorized as minor.
Was there any loss of life or injury?
Officials have confirmed that there were zero injuries or casualties reported in this incident. Since the cinema hall was under maintenance, no movie screenings were taking place, and the area was not crowded. Fire Officer Yashwant Meena stated that the situation was quickly brought under control. Police teams also assisted in managing the site, and cooling operations were completed successfully.
