Details about the Korean Game connection

The investigation points towards a “Korean lover game” or a task-based application that the girls were using. This app reportedly involves virtual companions and assigns daily challenges to the users. The father of the victims mentioned that forensic experts spoke about a series of 50 tasks within the game. It is suspected that the day of the incident marked the “final task” for the sisters. The girls, aged 16, 14, and 12, had reportedly been addicted to this virtual world since the COVID-19 pandemic and had stopped attending school for the last two years.

What was found in the suicide note?

Police recovered an 8-page note or diary from the room shared by the sisters. The note contained apologies to their parents, specifically saying “Sorry, Papa,” and included hand-drawn emotional caricatures. One distinct line in the diary read, “Is diary me jo kuch bhi likha hai vo sab padh lo quki ye sab sach hai” (Read everything in this diary because it is the truth). They also wrote phrases like “Korea is our life,” indicating a deep dependency on the virtual game. Ghaziabad Police have seized their mobile phones for forensic analysis to identify the exact name of the app.
