Noida Police has achieved a major success under its ‘Operation Clean’ drive by busting an inter-state gang involved in stealing luxury cars. The Sector-39 police station team arrested six members of this gang on Wednesday morning near the Sector-82 cut. According to the police, this gang used to steal high-end vehicles only after receiving specific orders from buyers. They utilized high-tech equipment to bypass security systems and unlock cars within minutes.
How the gang operated across NCR
The investigation revealed that the gang had a very organized way of working. They first took orders for specific car models from their contacts. After receiving a demand, they used a Hyundai Aura taxi to recce different sectors in Noida and NCR to find that specific model. To avoid suspicion, they changed drivers frequently and kept a 24-hour watch on the target vehicle. Once the timing was right, they used advanced tools like key programmers to steal the car and immediately installed fake number plates to transport it to Rajasthan or Mewat.
